Community Teen Coalition Upward Bound/Upward Bound Math and Science programs serve a total of 180 scholars at Banneker and Griffin High School. In addition to the intensive preparatory program, students participate in ongoing College and Career Day workshops where they hear from several professionals from different industries and participate in college fairs. Rising seniors have an opportunity to do paid internships during their final UB summer program. Students participate in both the academic year and summer components upon entry to the program until high school graduation. All program services are free and students receive a small stipend for their participation.

A Licensed Associate Professional Counselor through the State of Georgia and a National Board Certified Counselor, Dion has a wide knowledge of the community resources available for youth and their families. She earnestly believes in the importance of providing families and youth with services that empower them to reach their full potential.

The definition of a leader is: “a person who guides or inspires others.” With his selfless enthusiasm for youth, Dominic Stokes is the embodiment of a leader. After years of working as an operations manager, Stokes finally listened to the call God placed on his heart and began his full-time work with youth.
